IWF PRO WRESTLING TRAINING SCHOOL Wrestling Training in a Friendly & Safe Environment Since 1999!

No Classes & No Tours ** Aspiring wrestlers ready to rumble their way into the sports-entertainment field and be the next Raw, SmackDown, ECW or TNA superstar can fulfill their dream. The Independent Wrestling Federation Training School, now in its ninth year at IWF Centre, 32 Willow Way, West Paterson, NJ, offers first-rate instruction in a friendly and safe training environment.
Established in 1999, we train hundreds of wrestlers and managers from 16 states and six countries that perform in bouts around the globe, including World Wrestling Entertainment. IWF Commissioner Rich Ross recently joined the management team at USA Network & NBC Universal, partnering with WWE supervising Raw and ECW programming. Former WWE Diva Dawn Marie trained at IWF and had her first-ever match with us in 2001.
IWF instructors Kevin Knight and Rich Ross, and IWF graduates Dawn Marie, Damian Adams, Fred Sampson, Travis Blake, Shawn Donavan, Aaron Stride, Shane O’Brien, Josh Daniels, Justin Corino, Biggie Biggs, Tommy Trouble, Roman, Hadrian, Rob Eckos and Brandon Young worked for World Wrestling Entertainment on Raw, SmackDown, Heat, Velocity, Survivor Series commercial, Escape the Rules commercial, Undertaker druids in WrestleMania XX, Kurt Angle's cops, security for Batista, Ric Flair, Randy Orton, Eric Bischoff and Shawn Michaels. Former IWF Tag Team Champion Marc Verow works for the UFC Event Production Staff. Adams, Daniels and Eckos also worked for TNA. Adams is currently training in WWE's developmental system Ohio Valley Wrestling in Kentucky, while top graduates make frequent appearances on Raw, SmackDown and Heat. So far, 17 home-grown IWF talents made WWE appearances. Wrestlers excel in our program and receive WWE tryout opportunities as a result of our first-class training regimen. Our top graduates literally circle the globe, traveling to Canada, Puerto Rico and Japan. Head trainer is Kevin Knight, a 13-year ring pro who works for major companies including WWE and NWA. Since 1996, he wrestled countless Superstars, Legends and Hall of Famers from WWE, WCW, ECW and NWA. Kevin has 14 years experience in all aspects of entertainment, including radio, television, sports broadcasting, journalism, acting, photography and marketing. In 2006, he starred in the Burger King Buckin' Chicken TV spot. He combines his vast knowledge into formulating a successful strategy for students to succeed in sports-entertainment. We offer complete wrestler, referee, manager, valet and announcer training. Classes cover basic holds, high-flying maneuvers, character development and interview skills, with tape studies of your matches to evaluate progress so you reach maximum potential. We help develop your persona and marketability, and assist you in making connections within the business. IWF hosts monthly Live Events where trainees display their skills before live audiences. We guarantee your first match.
Additional benefits include our fully equipped weight-room and comprehensive fitness regimen. Discounted supplements and nutrition products are available to give your body that extra advantage. IWF graduates also network within the entertainment business appearing in television shows and commercials. Former IWF referee Kev Kage stars as Rangers hockey mascot “Bobby Granger” on the MSG Network. Tony Torres, Justin Corino and Travis Blake appeared on Nickelodeon’s W.A.C.K. wrestling program. Classes are Saturday & Sunday 12-4 pm and Tuesday & Wednesday 6:30-10 pm. Free Open House Tours offered during class hours with no appointment necessary and no obligation to enroll, so drop-in anytime (closed holidays & live event days). Visits are free, take approximately 30 minutes, and visitors can tour the facility, meet wrestlers and staff, and watch an in-ring exhibition.
School is open to men and women ages 15 and up, course length is 9 months, and qualified students can perform on events after 3 months of training. You have the flexibility to pay tuition in full at an incredibly reduced rate, or utilize our easy monthly finance plan suited to meet any budget. Discounts apply for those with Military or Law Enforcement ID. Training program geared towards individuals with various goals...from those who want to attend twice a week and pursue wrestling as a hobby, or for those who want to attend four classes a week and make it to the top. For boys and girls ages 12 to 17, we host three-day Pro Wrestling Youth Clinics in July, August and December. This instructional clinic provides youngsters an opportunity to enter the ring, and experience the training methods of a wrestler and referee. Kids learn basic moves and techniques in a friendly and safe environment. IWF Wrestling School hosts Seminars and Clinics with current stars and legends. WWE's John Bradshaw Layfield, WWE's Stevie Richards, WWE's Nunzio, WWE Hall of Famer Tito Santana, Intercontinental Champion Honky Tonk Man, WWE legend Ricky Steamboat, WWE trainer Dr. Tom Prichard, former UFC Champion Ken Shamrock, former WWE Diva Dawn Marie, former WWE star Tom Brandi (Sal Sincere), former ECW Champion Steve Corino, and TNA's Simon Diamond hosted clinics. Q: When can I visit IWF Centre for a free Open House Tour? A: You can drop-in anytime during class hours to visit our facility, watch a practice session, meet students and staff, get tuition information, or enroll immediately with our easy registration process. Hours are Saturdays & Sundays between 12-4 pm and Tuesdays & Wednesdays between 6:30-10 pm. Q: What is the tuition price at IWF Wrestling School? A: Current tuition rates are posted above, and are also quoted during Open House Tours. We offer a Teen Program for boys & girls 15 to 17, and an Adult Program for those 18 and up. Q: Is a tryout required prior to my enrollment? A: No. Anyone in good health is welcome to enroll; you just need a doctor’s note stating you are in good physical condition.

Q: What if I am not in the best physical condition? A: The program is geared to your individual capabilities. Q: When can I wrestle on IWF live events? A: Qualified students can perform on events after 3 months of training (depending upon progress). Students are able to wrestle for affiliated organizations and can network freely with groups throughout the world upon graduation.
Q: How long does it take to graduate from IWF Wrestling School? A: Course length is about 9 months.
Q: Are there tuition fees after I graduate from IWF Wrestling School? A: Once you graduate, there are no additional monthly tuition fees. Graduates are able to attend classes on a regular basis to continue training, subject to nominal graduate dues.
Q: How is IWF Wrestling School different from other schools? A: We are unlike other schools because we are a professional facility developing athletes pursuing a career in sports-entertainment. In addition to documented accreditations from major media outlets, we have successfully trained hundreds of wrestlers that compete around the world. Within the past few years, 15 schools in the NY-NJ-PA area have closed while we continue to flourish due to our first-rate training regimen.
