Sage Beats Adams to Retain IWF Title at Unstoppable September 21 in North Arlington

Updated: Oct 24

Live Event Raises $3,065.70 for Michael Robert Cammett Jr. Memorial Foundation

NORTH ARLINGTON, NJ – During the heart-stopping UNSTOPPABLE Live Event on September 21, 2024, at North Arlington High School, IWF Heavyweight Champion Dark Oracle Sage emerged victorious, marking IWF Wrestling's return to North Arlington, New Jersey.

Fans, wrestlers, staff and sponsors united at the annual event, raising $3,065.70 for Michael Robert Cammett Jr. Memorial Foundation. Teamsters Local 641 in Union served as the headline sponsor of the occasion.

During the first half of the evening's Double Main Event, Heavyweight Champion Dark Oracle Sage, with IWF Hall of Famer El Famoso Eloy Fiesta in his corner, successfully defended his title against First-Class Justin Adams, managed by East Side Dave McDonald. The championship committee forced McDonald to remain handcuffed to Fiesta at ringside during the bout to prevent interference. This victory extends Sage's two-and-a-half-year reign as champion, which started in April 2022.

In the second half of the Double Main Event, IWF Tag Team Champion Master of Chaos Kevin Knight teamed with Supersonic KC Bonilla to earn a count-out victory against The All-Americans Brian and Robert Atkins, with East Side Dave. Ever since The Atkins Brothers forced Knight's championship partner Rik Ratchet to retire due to injury in 2022, Knight is able to pick a partner of his choosing for title defenses, and Bonilla rose to the occasion at UNSTOPPABLE.

In singles action, The Tank Aaron Hobbs defeated Rico Gold; Patrick Sanchez defeated Prince Naj with All-Star Michele Dee serving as Special Guest Referee; American Bulldog Ken Reedy defeated The Spectacle Ezon Leverett; and Janko Sona upended Ezon Leverett in the opening contest.

The event included tributes to Mr. Intensity Glenn Burgess and Adam Sanchez (brother of Patrick Sanchez), who both passed away unexpectedly in August 2024.

The Memorial Foundation was established in memory of IWF Hall of Famer Golden Boy Michael Cammett, who tragically passed away in June 2021. Cammett, a 2015 graduate of North Arlington High School, served as captain for Vikings Football, and indoor and outdoor track and field teams. He also participated in the Vikings Athletic Council, National Honor Society, Students Against Destructive Decisions, Interact Club, and Student Council.

Cammett earned his undergraduate degree from Rutgers University-Newark in 2019 and was posthumously awarded his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Rutgers in 2023. He is a former IWF American Champion, Tag Team Champion, Junior-Heavyweight Champion, and has been named Wrestler of the Year three times.

Michael Robert Cammett Jr. Memorial Foundation is a civic member of Nutley Chamber of Commerce, honoring Michael's involvement with the chamber and the Greater Nutley Cancer Foundation. The Foundation awards college scholarships to students from North Arlington High School and contributes to charitable organizations in North Jersey.

The dedication of IWF fans, wrestlers, staff and sponsors has culminated in raising $14,824.03 for Michael Robert Cammett Jr. Memorial Foundation at live event fundraisers since 2021.

UNSTOPPABLE was presented by IWF Media LLC. Supporters included North Arlington Board of Education, Teamsters Local 641 in Union, Titanium Laboratories in Nutley, Costco Wholesale in Clifton, Magic 98.3 FM, Gary Marino Branch Manager of Rate.com in Nutley, JoJo’s Pizza and Pasta Kitchen in Lyndhurst, Ocean Beach Sales and Rentals in Lavallette, and Nutley Chamber of Commerce.
