NORTH ARLINGTON, NJ – History was made as a major championship changed hands during a wild evening of action as IWF Wrestling returned to North Arlington, New Jersey for When Legends Rise Live Event on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at North Arlington High School.

Fans, wrestlers, staff, and sponsors united at the annual extravaganza to raise $4,051.26 for Michael Robert Cammett Jr. Memorial Foundation.

IWF Tag Team Champion Master of Chaos Kevin Knight defeated longtime rival First-Class Justin Adams, with East Side Dave McDonald, via disqualification after outside interference by McDonald.

IWF Tag Team Champion Live Wire Charles Gaston defeated Glenn Burgess in singles competition.

In a tag team attraction, American Bulldog Ken Reedy and Patrick Sanchez, with All-Star Michele Dee in their corner, defeated Ezon Leverett and Prince Naj, with Rico Gold.

Since 2021, IWF raised $11,758.33 overall for Michael Robert Cammett Jr. Memorial Foundation.

The Memorial Foundation was formed after IWF Hall of Famer Golden Boy Michael Cammett tragically passed away in June 2021. Cammett graduated from North Arlington High School in 2015 and was captain of the Vikings football team, and indoor and outdoor track and field teams. He was a member of the Vikings Athletic Council, National Honor Society, Students Against Destructive Decisions, Interact Club and Student Council.

Cammett received his undergraduate degree from Rutgers University-Newark in 2019, and posthumously received his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Rutgers in 2023. Cammett is a former IWF American Champion, Tag Team Champion, Junior-Heavyweight Champion, and three-time Wrestler of the Year.

Michael Robert Cammett Jr. Memorial Foundation is a civic member of Nutley Chamber of Commerce, as Michael was involved with the chamber and Greater Nutley Cancer Foundation during his wrestling career. The Foundation provides collegiate scholarships to North Arlington High School students and donates to charitable causes in North Jersey.

Up next, IWF When Legends Rise comes to Nutley Rec Center on Saturday, April 13, 2024 with an event to benefit Greater Nutley Cancer Foundation.
